"Hi Katie Shea, Now that the dust has settled and we are back to our lives (missing St John!) I wanted to take a moment to let you know what a fabulous job you and your staff did for our welcome party as well as our wedding. We couldn't have asked for better service and the food was amazing. All of our guests had very positive things to say about Katilady! To say that you all were "on point" would be an understatement. Being in the service industry myself, I tend to be a critical judge of other's service, but you definitely exceeded our expectations and for that I want to thank you. If ever in need of a reference, we would be very happy to offer one! Hope you are well and aren't dealing with too many "bridezillas!" Thank you again. P.S. Almost forgot to mention the cake...that cake was the best cake we have EVER had in our entire lives! Tell the pasty chef that he/she is doing something right!"

USVI Wedding License Information

Process for obtaining your USVI Marriage License:
To get your marriage license from the USVI you need only fill out the application form and mail back with a $100 certified check or money order made out to the Superior Court of the VI. Please note they do not accept personal or company checks and cash is also not accepted. You do not need a blood test though you will need to pick up the license together on St. Thomas, in person, and before the ceremony. This is the only part of the process your wedding planner cannot do for you.

We suggest doing so upon arriving at the St. Thomas airport when that day falls during their hours of operation. The court is located in downtown St. Thomas and very easy to access via St. Thomas airport or the St. John downtown people ferry dock, should you decide to make the trip after you get settled. You will need a photo ID like a passport to pickup your license. It should not take more than 30-45 minutes.

The Territorial court is open Mon-Fri between 8 am and 5 pm and on Saturdays from 10 am until 12 noon. There are, however, many holidays in the USVI, particularly during Christmas, New Year's, Thanksgiving, President's Day & Easter weeks and including Carnivale celebrated in April. Call ahead to confirm availability. (It is simple to travel back to St. Thomas from St. John should your flight or day of arrival not coincide with the court's operating hours. Your planner can help you figure out the best day/time to do so).

Mailing your application:

Click here for the Marriage Application Form

We recommend completing the application 8 weeks prior to your arrival but you will need to do so at least 6 weeks in advance. You will also need to include a Cover Letter providing details on your wedding and marriage history.

Date of arrival, date you intend to pick up the marriage license, copy of your passport or photo ID, and status of your marriage history identifying if either of you have been married previously. If so, you must send theoriginal certified copy of the divorce decree issued from the court with your application. If either of you have been widowed you must include a death certificate. You will not likely receive these copies back so be sure to make a copy for your files. Reminder, copies will not be accepted by the Territorial Court so be sure to send the originals for their records. Include a certified check or money order for $100 which includes $50 for the application and $50 for the license to:
